A short walk today up a hill I have ascended twice previously. I took Cuillin along today to ascend his third Marilyn.

Cuillin at start of walk:

At 12ºC today, the weather felt almost spring-like. I even heard a skylark singing somewhere overhead.

Looking back to Keith during ascent:

It would be great if they could eventually complete the track running up this hill. The good quality track ends just beyond the forest. It is then a bit of a mudfest. The track has been like this since at least 2009.

Ascending Meikle Balloch Hill:

Cuillin at the trig point on Meikle Balloch Hill:

It was good to see several well-kent hills from the summit and see the snow levels rising, or disappearing altogether, on these hills. From the trig point, we returned to the car via the same route.

Looking forward to taking Cuillin up some higher hills in due course
