Coastal Walk: Balmedie to Menie Links
Date: Thursday 24th September 2015
Company: Myself and Cuillin
Distance: 7km, Ascent: 30m
Time: 1Hr 20Mins

It was not my intention to undertake a walk today, however as I was in the area, I took the opportunity to complete another few kilometres of my coastal walk from Aberdeen to Inverness. It also provided Cuillin with the opportunity to have some fun at the beach.

From Balmedie Beach car park, I made my way towards the dunes and then down onto the beach. There are lots of incredible dunes at Balmedie.

Once onto the beach, we walked for several kilometres towards Newburgh. It was high-tide today, so not ideal for seeing this beach at its best.

I knew that Trump International Golf Course had been built in the dunes at Menie, however I did not realise the course was at one point right next to the beach.
