A nice, easy ascent today of a HuMP located just beyond Keith.
I parked at the start of the track leading up the hill – room for one or two cars only.

The track up through the woods was quite pleasant. During the ascent, I passed a small pool brimming with frogs and spawn.

Track through Wood of Mulderie:

During the initial ascent, Beinn found a stick which he proceeded to carry to the summit and most of the way back. I must have got it in the back of the legs at least 20 times during the ascent .

It was nice to get above the treeline to start getting some views.

Clear of the trees – looking towards Knockan:

Final ascent to the summit:

I’m not sure what purpose the tower and the small building had once served.

Views were quite limited at the summit until I stood on top of the trig point. The following photos are all taken from standing on the trig point.

From the summit, I headed for the cairn that is marked on the map. There are better views down towards Keith from the cairn.

I then returned back to the start via the same route.
