A very quick stroll up and down Latrigg today, a Wainwright located just outside Keswick.

From the car park we went through a couple of gates and then followed the best of the paths initially skirting round and then up Latrigg.

Skiddaw (Little Man):

As height is gained the views improve especially on reaching the viewpoint which has a bench conveniently situated at it to soak in the views.

Derwent Water with Catbells beyond:

Keswick and Derwent Water:

During the ascent we could see rain coming in from the west. It was forecast to rain heavily for most of the day from 9am. We were therefore up and off early to get back before the rain.

Derwent Water:

The summit is the high point on the path.

Incoming rain:

We made our way back down reasonably quickly as we could see the rain getting ever closer with the odd spit of rain on our faces.

Thistle and Bumble Bee:

Descent:

This is a very easy hill providing maximum views from minimal effort. Hope to get out again later in day having driven so far to get here.
